The guide
Travelling for treatment, honestly
In short
- Veneers and crowns usually take one visit; implants usually take two, a few months apart
- Your written plan confirms the number of visits before you book flights
- Transfers, hotel help and scheduling are organised for you
- One coordinator in your language, from first message to aftercare
One trip or two?
The most useful thing to know before booking flights: not all dental treatment fits in one visit, and any plan that pretends otherwise is borrowing trouble. As a reliable rule, crowns, veneers, bonding, whitening, root canal treatment and gum therapy are completed in one stay, because the clinic and the laboratory can finish their work while you are here. Implant treatment almost always needs two trips: one to place the implants, and one to fit the final teeth a few months later, once the bone has healed.
Your written plan states the number of visits and the schedule before you book anything, so your flights, your time off and your expectations all rest on the same facts.
What we organise around you
Organised for you
- Airport transfers: a driver meets you on arrival and takes you to every clinic appointment.
- Help finding a hotel within easy reach of the clinic.
- A multilingual coordinator: one person, your language, from your first message to your final follow-up.
- Appointments scheduled around your flights, including laboratory time.
- Aftercare that continues at home: written instructions, remote check-ins and a direct line for urgent concerns.
Documents and practicalities
- Bring your passport, any existing X-rays or dental records, and a list of the medication you take.
- Citizens of the EU, the UK, the US and many other countries can visit Albania without a visa for short stays. Check the current rules for your country before booking.
- Albania uses the lek (ALL). Cards are widely accepted in Tirana and euros are commonly quoted for medical services.
- A companion is welcome: we help plan transfers and hotels for two.
