Practical guide
Everything you need to know before you go
In short
- Tirana International Airport has direct flights to many European cities
- Transfers and appointment scheduling are organised for you
- The clinic is in the walkable centre of Tirana
- Plan quiet evenings after surgical appointments
Getting here
Tirana International Airport (TIA, also known as Rinas or Mother Teresa Airport) has direct connections with many European cities, including London, Milan, Rome, Vienna, Frankfurt and Paris. Low-cost airlines serve many of these routes.
From the airport, forget taxis: transfers are part of how we work. Your driver meets you on arrival and takes you to central Tirana, and every clinic appointment during your stay is driven the same way.
Where you stay
We help you find a hotel near the clinic, because comfortable recovery is part of clinical planning, not a luxury extra. The clinic is at 3 Kullat on Rruga Dervish Hima, in the walkable heart of the city, with cafés, restaurants, pharmacies and parks nearby.

Between appointments
Ideas for your free time
- Skanderbeg Square, the National History Museum and the Blloku café district.
- The Dajti Ekspres cable car, with views over the whole city.
- Day trips to Durrës on the coast or the historic towns of Berat and Krujë.
- Coffee culture: Tirana runs on espresso and unhurried terraces, perfect for laboratory days.
Practical notes
- Currency: the Albanian lek (ALL). Euros are widely understood for medical and hotel services, and cards are accepted in the city.
- Weather: Mediterranean, with hot dry summers and mild winters. Spring and autumn are ideal for treatment trips.
- Language: Albanian, with English and Italian widely spoken in Tirana. Your coordinator translates everything clinical anyway.
- After surgical appointments, plan quiet evenings. Sightseeing fits better around non-surgical days, and we schedule accordingly.
